I got this recipe from our church’s craft night!
It is delicious! We made it even more yummy by
substituting the chocolate chips for butterscotch chips! Yum!
You’ll need:
quart size jar
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups butterscotch chips
In a large bowl mix flour, baking soda and white sugar.
Then arrange the ingredients in the jar as follows:
(I used a piece of cardstock taped into a funnel. Made it much easier!)
Bottom layer: half of the flour mixture
Next layer: 1 cup butterscotch chips
Next layer: 1/4 cup brown sugar
Next layer: the rest of the butterscotch chips
(I had to use the end of a spoon to push the ingredients down!)
Next layer: the rest of the brown sugar
Top layer: remaining flour mixture
Then I added a bow & card that reads:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Empty contents of jar into a large bowl.
- In a separate bow, combine 3/4 cup butter, 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until creamy.
- Stir butter mixture into dry mixture until thoroughly blended.
- Drop by tablespoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Yum! Cookies {in a jar}
