Last week I showed you all the new core collection dies that Lifestyle Crafts debuted at the CHA Show this month. It you missed that post you can check out the new dies here. Today I’d love to show you one more project I made using one of these dies ~ the mini pocket die. There are so many possibilities with this one die…a mini envelope, tiny notes or even to hold gift cards! I made a fun Valentine Countdown with mine. {FYI: You can buy the frame here.}
Here is what the pocket die looks like. I used my Genius Platform & Epic Six to cut it out. {You can see how to use the Genius Platform & Epic Six together here.}
I cut 14 pocket die cuts, & then I assembled them with a glue stick.
Then I printed out the numbers 1 through 14 on white cardstock. FYI: I used the AR Hermann font. Then I punched the numbers out with my 1 inch circle punch.
Then I used some glue dots to attach my numbers to the front of each pocket.
Then I clipped them onto my frame. That’s it! Super easy! ;)
We’ve never really counted down to Valentine’s Day before so the kiddos are excited to try this out this year. I plan on putting fun things to do inside each pocket leading up to Valentine’s Day like make cookies, send Valentine’s to our cousins, “heart attack” another family & so on.
Do you have any fun Valentine’s traditions in your family? I’d love to hear them.
