I love this time of year! Everyone is organizing, planning & getting ready for BIG things this year! Well, our family has big plans for this year & next year! ;) We are planning a big family trip next summer to Yellowstone, Idaho & Utah. I’ve always wanted to take the kiddos to Yellowstone, and I want to show my older kids around BYU-Idaho! I’m hoping a few of them want to follow in their dad & mom’s footsteps! :)
Anyways….our big plans don’t come cheap. Airfare for 7 people = expensive! So this year one of our goals is to save up some money for our trip! So I made this cute vacation savings jar using my PSA Essential stamps!
For this project you’ll need:
- large mason jar to hold all that money ~ ha!
- ribbon
- glue dots
- white card stock
- PSA Essentials stamp body & alignment tool
- PSA Essential grapefruit pink ink
- PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamp pack ~ Mom’s Calendar
Before we get started on how I made our jar I thought I’d show you how to switch the ink out on your PSA Essential stamp body. It’s super fast & easy to do! PSA Essentials has tons of different ink colors & combos…you can check them all out {HERE}.
First, you’ll just slide out the ink cartridge that is already in your stamp body.
Then you’ll take your lid off your new ink pad.
Then carefully slide your new ink pad into your stamp body {ink side down}.
Slide your ink pad in until you hear a “click”. Now you are ready to start stamping!
For this project I stamped the vacation stamp in the grapefruit pink ink onto some white card stock. Then I punched it out with my circle punch.
Then I put some adhesive glue dots onto a matching ribbon.
Then I put the ribbon around the middle of my jar.
Then I stuck my vacation stamp right onto the front of my jar. Now we are ready to save some money! ;)
So have you ever taken a family trip to Yellowstone??
Any tricks, tips or advice? I’d love to hear them!
