4th of July is almost here! Yay!
Like I’ve said before it’s one of my favorite holidays!
This year we aren’t doing too much since we just got back from vacation,
& we have company coming in less than 2 weeks {Yikes!!},
but I still wanted to celebrate a little bit with the kiddos!
So this week we had a little impromptu 4th of July party.
{I’ll be sharing a few more things that we did in the next several days.}
I also have a Smarties Prize Pack Giveaway….so keep reading! Yay!
You always have to have something sweet
when you are having a party…well, we do anyways!
So we decided to make some red, white & blue cupcakes.
They were super easy to make. {Actually the kiddos made these!}
They are as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Mix your white cake batter. Divide into thirds.
Then use food coloring to make red & blue.
2. Put a little of all 3 colors in each cupcake liner then bake.
3. Then the fun part…decorating! We used red, white & blue icing.
Then we used Smarties for our stars & stripes.
Smarties are easy to find. They can be found almost everywhere.
I bought ours at Walmart, but you can also purchase them
at Target, Dollar General, Family Dollar & Dollar Tree & other stores.
Does the cupcake stand look familiar?
I just cut some 4th of July paper and laid it on top!
It worked perfectly for our 4th of July party!
Smarties are the perfect candy for summer! They don’t MELT! Yay!
So our cupcakes stayed nice & pretty even though it was HOT outside.
Did you know that Smarties are a low calorie treat?
One roll of original Smarties is only 25 calories.
Aren’t those cupcakes so fun & festive??
LOVE how they turned out!
OK….are YOU ready for a fun giveaway from Smarties?
