A couple of weeks ago I shared {HERE} that a few of my kiddos would be participating in LeapFrog Summer Camp….so I thought I’d update you on what we have been up to!
{It’s not to late to join! Summer Camp runs all the way until the end of July.} Each week has a theme & lots of fun activities to do with your kiddos! We are having a blast!
Last week the theme was Caring for Animals. This is a glimpse of how their website it set up. As you can see you they have tabs for each day, & you can click on the day to get worksheets, ideas & fun activities to do with your kids. LeapFrog Summer Camp even has a weekly contest & field trip ideas!
My 5 year old LOVES the worksheets! She keeps asking me to print more & more.
My 2 {almost 3 year old} loved the coloring book that came with the Caring for Animals unit. It was full of all different kinds of dogs! He especially loved the “fire dog” {dalmation}. They were busy coloring together at the table! So cute!
Here’s my daughter with her favorite picture! Cute!
One of the activities LeapFrog Summer Camp suggested last week was to make our own birdfeeder. We didn’t have all the supplies for the one they suggested to make, so we made a quick search online & found this idea ~ a birdfeeder made out of an egg carton!
It turned out super cute! Here’s how we made ours!
You’ll need: egg cartons, twine, paint markers & birdseed
1. Cut off the lid of your egg carton & the little flap that helps keep it closed.
2. Punch one hole on each corner.
3. Have your kiddos decorate the bottom of the egg carton with paint markers.
4. Cut four pieces of twine about 18 inches long.
5. Tie one piece of twine on each corner of your egg carton through the holes you punched earlier.
6. Tie the loose ends all together in one big knot.
7. Fill your birdfeeder with birdseed & hang in a tree! Enjoy!
Isn’t she cute? She was so proud of her bird feeder!
Thank you LeapFrog for all the fun ideas!
