Good morning! As I was looking through all the ah-mazing link ups last week, and I noticed a lot of red, white & blue ideas, outdoor party ideas, garden ideas and outdoor spaces! Gooooood morning! As most of you know, we moved this summer! We have been building a home over the last year. Annnnd one of the first things I did (even before we moved in!) was to put up a mailbox. Good morning! I hope you all had a great holiday last week. We live out in the country now & bought our own big fireworks. It was pretty exciting! haha! :) I love this time of year. Whew! What a week! After a whirlwind trip to Salt Lake City for the Cricut Mountain Make-a-thon, I am now home soaking up the last few days of summer with my kiddos. Bug Backpack {tutorial}

Hello there! Our family is super active. We love hiking outdoors, swimming & being together as a family. Every time we hop in the car for our next adventure, I usually like to pack a snack for my kiddos. They are always hungry. ha! Hello there! Whew what a week I’ve had! I’m the Cubmaster for our Cub Scout Pack. Annnnd we are right in the middle of Twilight Camp. So I haven’t been home much at all this week. 5 Awesome Outdoor Games

Good morning! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week! Today I am so excited to be partnering with CLIF Kid to show you the importance of getting your kids to ‘come out to play’. I know when I was young we lived outside….it was one of the best places to play! We spent hours outside playing house, pretending to be a gymnast, building forts & mud pies. It’s a little harder today to get your kiddos outside since we have to compete with screen time. Ugh! Buuuut it’s so important to encourage our kiddos to put down their electronics & simply play! Play is disappearing at home, in school and in communities. 70% of moms played outside when they were kids, & today only 31% of their kids play outside. Let’s change that! When we get our kids outdoors we are teaching them healthy habits & reclaiming important play time. Yay! Today I am excited to be sharing 5 Awesome Outdoor Games that our family loves. DIY Window Boxes {tutorial}

Good morning! Happy Friday! I don’t know if you know this or not, but I love flowers! When we first got married (22 years ago TODAY!) I didn’t have such a green thumb. ha! I always planted pansies in the spring in Texas. Then I would wonder why they died so quickly. (Pansies don’t love heat, & they really should be planted in the fall not spring.) I’ve gotten just a little bit better over the years. It’s a mix of planting the right type of flowers & watering & feeding them enough, too. Recently we added these DIY Window Boxes to the back of our house. I just love them!
