This post is brought to you by DecoArt.
Hello! Today I’m excited to show you my most recent project with Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint. Yay! :) (Do remember last month I when showed you my new kitchen updates using this amazing paint? If not check them out HERE.) Today I’m going to show you how I made this quick & easy makeover for the lamp in our master bedroom. So keep reading to see how I did it. :)
Isn’t it fun what a little paint color can do?
For this project you’ll just need a few things:
Americana Décor Chalky Finish paint (I used the color Treasure.)
paint brush
painter’s tape
sand paper
First you’ll tape off any areas you don’t want painted. I taped around the top & taped over part of the cord.
Then I painted two coats of paint on the lamp base ~ letting it dry between coats.
After the paint had dried completely, I used some sandpaper to lightly distress the lamp base.
Then I put our lamp back together. I’m loving the new pop of color. So much better than boring white. ha! ;)(To see how I made the glitter framed art you can check out the tutorial HERE.)
