5 Simple Ways to Organize Your Kitchen

This post is brought to you by Life Storage.

Good morning! Are you ready for the weekend? Ours is going to be busy! ha! I’m helping with a craft day at our church, & my two daughters have all day activities with choir & their youth group on Saturday. So we will be running from one to the other! I’m also hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year. I think I’d much rather stay home & do some deep cleaning & organizing to get everything ready for that. ha! Oh well! That will have to wait until next weekend. ;) If organizing and cleaning are your thing, you’ll want to pop over to the Life Storage blog & check out 5 Simple Ways to Organize Your Kitchen. I’m also sharing how we made this DIY kitchen island (which I’m thinking about changing up!). I’ll keep you posted! ;)

Keep reading to see how I did it! Annnnd I’ve got a Silhouette promotion & giveaway for you, too! Yay! :)

fab friday {kitchen canisters}

Here's how I made my {super easy & cute} kitchen canisters.

I bought my canisters at Walmart.
Then I cut my vinyl out with my Silhouette.
I used the Elise font. {It's one of my all time favorite fonts!}
Then I applied my vinyl.  For more detailed instructions for applying vinyl click {here}.

The hardest part is making sure your vinyl is all centered & in the right spot.
Vinyl LOVES to stick to glass, so applying it is so easy & fast.

Everything looks better when it's labeled. :)
Don't you think??? :)

take a look {popcorn bowl}

I'm so excited today to be guest blogging over

who is having a blast at vacation bible school right now. :)

I'm sharing my tutorial on how to make {personalized dishwasher safe cups} for your family.
So it you missed my post on that one head over to Made it on Monday & check it out. :)

Since I love cast vinyl so much I couldn't resist sharing one more of my cast vinyl projects with you!
{Remember cast vinyl is super cool because it can be run through a dishwasher.  Sweet!}
The possibilities are endless!

Here's how I made this {super cute, easy & cheap} popcorn bowl.

I got my bowl for a dollar at Walmart! {Didn't I say cheap!?} :)
Then cut the word {popcorn} in cast vinyl using my Silhouette.

Applied the vinyl.
Remember my tip when working with cast vinyl.
Let the vinyl sit for 5-10 minutes before removing the transfer tape.
It seems to stick better that way.
Then take the transfer tape off nice & slow. :)

There you go!
A very cute {popcorn} bowl.

Wait!  Something is missing!
There it is- the popcorn!  Yum! :)

OK...I've got a BoNuS idea for you today!
{Look at this super cute gift idea!}
Add some microwave popcorn, some M&M's, fun tissue paper and a movie.
Tie it up in a gift bag with a ribbon & a tag.

There you go {movie night in a bowl}.
Enjoy!

{Since I had so much fun last week giving out some FrEe vinyl!}
The first 3 FoLlOwErs to comment on this post
{with their e-mail address so I can contact you!}
will receive the word {popcorn} cut in cast vinyl.
Then you can make your very own super cute popcorn bowl!

Don't forget!
Go enter my {USA block} giveaway.
Winner will be announced on SaTuRdAy!!!

Have a wonderful day!

take a look {Pantry Clipboard}

{so much better}

Here's how I made it:

Here's the clipboard all cleaned up!

I took the sheet metal & chicken wire off.
{I used the sheet metal to make this no soliciting sign.}

I cut a piece of cage wire to fit my opening.

Then I stapled gunned the wire
onto the back of the frame.

Flipped it over & touched up some of the paint!

Cut some vinyl lettering to dress it up a little.

The I applied the vinyl phrase:
a little bit of
{This & That}

For the clips I painted some mini cloths pins black.

I organized all of my coupons,
appointment reminders & box tops.
Then I put them in snack size bags.

Then I hung them on the clipboard.

{Much better.}
