Hello! We only have 3 weeks until school starts! Eek! Summer flew by didn’t it? Well, my kiddos have been busy making their school list, deciding what school clothes they need & starting to get everything organized for back to school. My oldest daughter is going to be a sophomore in high school! (Gulp!) How did that happen? We were talking the other day, and comparing notes on high school life. ha! Boy! High school has changed since I was in school. Back when I was in school we had books & pencils, no cell phones or internet, & we rarely used computers. Now most of their homework & assignments are done online. This makes having a laptop a must have for going back to school! We also did some brainstorming, & we came up with 5 Backpack Must Haves for the high school student. Let’s get started! :)

Good morning! This past weekend we were trying to find a movie to watch, and we stumbled across the movie, Miracles From Heaven. Oh my goodness! Miracles from Heaven is such a good movie! Go get it now! We watched it 3 times over the weekend! It’s full of love, family, faith & a wonderful spirit. You will be touched when you watch! The movie is based on the true story of the Beam family. One of their daughters is diagnosed with a terrible disease, but along the way through big & small miracles this family is helped through their trial. Watching this movie made me want to hug & spend time with my kiddos even more! This week my daughter & I were inspired by the movie to make this adorable Hand Stamped Necklace together. Let’s get started! :)
LEGO Travel Tray {tutorial}
Hello! I’m sensing a travel theme to this week’s & last week’s blog posts! ha! It’s that time of year, right? While we travel I love to see my kiddos using their imaginations & creativity as we drive. It really helps make those long boring car rides seem fun! One fun game we love to play in the car involves a box of LEGO® Classic blocks. a cookie sheet & some imagination to “build their world” as they look out of the car window. Today I’d love to share how easy it was to make this LEGO Travel Tray that can be used both in the car or at home. Let’s get started!

Make Your Own Sticker Book {tutorial}

Hello! It’s summer! Eek! I love summer time! Summer is extra special at our house because not only do we start the summer off with a birthday (my oldest son’s birthday is June 5th), but we end with a birthday, too. My youngest son’s birthday is August 14th. So we celebrate all summer long! ha! Birthday cards are always a huge part of our birthday celebrations. My kiddos love getting cards in the mail, and we always line up all the birthday cards on the fireplace mantel during their birthday week. Truthfully, they usually stay up there a couple of extra weeks! My hubby & I always like to give the kiddos a card on their birthday to add to their collection. It makes us feel good inside to see their faces when they read their cards. American Greetings has the most amazing birthday display right now at Walmart. They make it so easy to celebrate all the birthdays in your life. In addition to birthday cards American Greetings also has tons of fun party supplies, gift boxes, ribbon, gift bags & more. I used some of these supplies to make a sticker book for one my younger son’s birthday gifts. So keep reading, & I’ll show you how to make your own sticker book, too!
Unfinished Blankets
From July 15-17, 2016, FamilySearch International will sponsor their third annual “Worldwide Indexing Event”, join 72,000 people from around the world together online during a 72-hour event to save the world’s records by making them searchable to the public. I am excited to be partnering with them to help spread the word!
This is my Grandmother, Mary Denton Ault.
I lost my Grandmother way too early in August of 2004 to cancer. I can’t believe it’s been almost 12 years ago. I miss her everyday. This is a picture of my grandparents house! I think I spent more nights here than my own house! ha! She loved holidays & especially Christmas. Her house would be decorated from top to bottom each year complete with a Christmas village. We loved spending time with her, and she loved her grandchildren. My grandparents had 5 boys so when I was born she was over the moon. Finally, a little girl to dress up & buy dolls for. I was a little bit spoiled! ha! :)

“Ofishally” a Missionary {printable}
Good morning! I hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July! This 4th of July was a little weird for us, because our oldest is on his own this year all the way in Utah! Eek! He is serving a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has been at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah for the past 3 weeks. He has learned a ton & had lots of fun. Today he heads out to the Salt Lake City West Mission. He is so excited to get started serving the people of Utah. To celebrate “ofishally” becoming a missionary I sent him a small treat in the mail last week. I thought it turned out super cute, so I thought I’d share the free “You are ofishally a missionary now.” printable with you! So keep reading! :)
