It’s finally summer time around here! Wahoo! We are spending lots more time playing at the pool & less time in the kitchen that’s for sure. I’ve been looking for some quick chicken dinner & lunch ideas for my kiddos. I want something that’s healthy & yummy as well as, easy & fast! We were excited to find out about Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries that are available at Sam’s Club. Keep reading to find out how my kiddos liked them, and I also have an easy honey mustard dipping sauce recipe to share as well! It was soooo good with the chicken fries! :)
Like I said you can find these Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries at Sam’s Club. (You can see my whole shopping trip over on google+.) I bought two huge bags because I already knew my kiddos would LOVE them. We are huge Tyson fans over! My oldest kiddo (and pickiest eater) said if it’s Tyson it’s good! ha! ;)
The Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries already come fully cooked. I loved that! So you just pop them in the oven, & let them cook 10-15 minutes. So easy!
While they were cooking I decided to make some easy honey mustard sauce to go with them. I based this recipe off one that I saw over on The Food Network. (You can check out their version here.)
For my honey mustard sauce I used:
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp yellow mustard
juice from half a lemon
less than a tsp of orange juice
You’ll just throw all of that in a bowl together & stir. I told you it was easy! ;)
By the time our dipping sauce was done our chicken fries & corn were ready, too. So for lunch we all had chicken fries, honey mustard dipping sauce, corn & an apple. Yum!
All my kiddos loved their lunch, and most of them ate everything! :)
Take a look at my picky eater….he loved the #chickenfrytime but refused to try the honey mustard dipping sauce! He preferred ketchup with his! ha! ;)
My 3 year old gave his lunch a big thumbs up! :)
Since lunch was so quick & easy we had plenty of time to spend the whole afternoon at the swimming pool! Wahoo! :)
Tyson Homestyle Homestyle Chicken Fries would make a perfect quick dinner, snack, appetizer or lunch idea! You can find tons of recipes for fun dipping sauces for chicken, too! Next time we might try a different sauce, or we may just stick with the honey mustard sauce (or ketchup!). It was really yummy!
