Hello! Happy Monday to you! :) This month I am so excited to be participating in the Month of Disney series hosted by R & R Workshop & including some of my favorite bloggers. :) If you scroll down to the bottom of this post you’ll see some of the Disney inspired recipes, projects & ideas that have been shared so far. :) I decided to share these super easy Mickey & Minnie DIY Cupcake Toppers. You probably have almost everything you need to make these on hand. They’d be perfect for your next Disney inspired party. So keep reading! ;)
For this project you’ll need:
black cardstock
white cardstock
paper straws
adhesive* or glue stick
2 inch circle punch
1 inch circle punch
bow tie die*
scissors
hot glue gun & glue
cupcakes :)
*FYI: You can get 20% off these items using the code GINGER at WeRontheNet.com. :)
First you will cut out your circles & bow. I used a die cutting machine to cut my bows. You can see how to use one of those {HERE}. If you don’t have a die cutter, you could always cut out a bow with scissors. It’s a pretty simple shape to make.
Next you’ll glue on 2 smaller circles to the big circle for the ears. Then for Minnie glue on the bow. I used Sticky Thumb adhesive from Lifestyle Crafts to do this.
Then cut your paper straws in half. Then I just hot glued these onto the back of the cupcake toppers.
Now the only thing left is to stick these into some cupcakes! ha! ;) Aren’t they cute?
