I introduced you to our dog, Baxter, a couple of weeks ago.
He is such a good dog! He is perfect for our family!
So we decided that we needed to pamper our favorite pooch!
There are 3 things you should know about Baxter.
He LOVES to eat, LOVES to play & LOVES be loved on!
So pampering him is easy!
Baxter’s favorite treat is Milk Bones. He LOVES them.
So I headed to Walmart to pick up some more Milk Bone treats
& other fun things to pamper our most favorite pooch!
When I got to Walmart I saw some new treats for Baxter to try out.
I got some Milk Bone Trail Mix, Pup-Peroni Mix Stix and Milo’s Kitchen Homestyle Treats.

I waited until the kiddos got home from school to begin our pampering.
The first thing they wanted to try out was the Milk Bone Trail Mix.
Since Baxter already LOVES Milk Bones we knew this would be a special treat for him.
We put the Milk Bone Trail Mix inside one of his new toys I had bought.
He LOVED it! It was fun watching him try to figure it out!
He was a dog on a mission! 
The kiddos played with him all afternoon.
They loved giving him his new toys & dog treats. They even gave him a bath!
{Doesn’t he look like he is enjoying himself?} What a pampered dog!
We also trimmed his nails & took him on a long walk.
Since the kiddos had done such a good job pampering Baxter,
I wanted to help out, too! You all know how obsessed I am
with labeling everything…buuuut Baxter had nothing with his name on it! 
Buuuuut now he does! Check out his personalized dog food bowl!!! 
I used cast vinyl. It is made to last for years outside!
So no worries about it holding up!
I cut the name Baxter with my vinyl cutter, & then applied my vinyl! So cute!

All this talk about pampering our dog got us to thinking! 
Really when you think about it Baxter is pampered every day.
He has a family that loves him, a nice warm bed to sleep in,
a dry place to go when it rains, gets to go on walks,
has soft grass to run in, fun toys to investigate
yummy food to eat & kiddos to play with him every single day!
So while I was at Walmart I grabbed some extra dog food & treats.
Then after school one day last week I picked up the kiddos early,
& we headed to our local animal shelter to give them some food & treats.
The staff at the animal shelter was so happy
when they saw the kiddos walk in.
They even let us meet some of the dogs.
It made all of us feel so good to pamper
some dogs that really, really need
& deserve some extra pampering!
