Around our house we don’t need
much reason to throw a little par-tay!
We do it all the time!
Lots of times we plan a
party around a theme like the
the last day of school, a different country,
a new movie or maybe a special holiday.
This week we heard that
We Bought a Zoo
was being released on DVD.
{Annnnd that gave us an idea for a party!}
Sometimes it seems like we are living in a zoo
around here with 5 kiddos & all their furry friends!
Sooooooo it sounded like a good time to
throw a Feed Your Zoo {at home} Party!
So we headed to Walmart to pick up our supplies!
You can check out my entire shopping trip over on google+.
When you purchase any 2 participating
Del Monte products you can use a
coupon for $4.00 off your We Bought a Zoo DVD.
Just look for the coupons that are attached
to the participating products at Walmart!
Since we were buying treats for the animals anyways
we thought it would be fun to include them in our party!
Our dog, Baxter got his favorite treat, Milk Bones.
As soon as we give him a Milk Bone he always buries it.
{Then he’ll come right back a few minutes later & eat it! Silly dog! }
Our cat, Thunder got his favorite treat, Meow Mix.
{He thinks that is a picture of HIM on the packaging!}
We even picked up some yogurt bites for our bunnies!
Of course, we couldn’t leave us out!
I picked up some Del Monte fruit cups,
frozen vanilla yogurt & granola
& made a yummy treat for us!
The kiddos were so excited for our party!
We were going to use the projector & watch the movie outside on the patio,
but some thunderstorms rolled in! So we ended up partying inside the house.
They didn’t seem to mind the change of plans too much as you can tell.
The loved their yummy treat!
Then we turned off the lights & watched
We Bought a Zoo.
We really enjoyed the movie.
I don’t want to give too much away.
Basically it’s about a family going
through some tough times,
& they decide they need
a change & a fresh start,
so they end up buying a zoo!
I like that is is based on a true story, too!
{Annnd who doesn’t love Matt Damon??}
Just a warning there was some bad language.
(Grrrr! Why do they have to put that in there??)
I did notice on the back of the DVD that they
have a Family Friendly Audio option,
so when we watch it again I’ll be using that.
{You can watch the trailer here.}
To find more from Del Monte

{You can also find Milk Bone on facebook.}
