creativity week {& 2x4 pumpkins tutorial}

Today I was over on Seven Thirty Three---A Creative Blog
helping out with Creativity Week.
  {I’ll be back later in the week with a giveaway! Yay!}
Kim has an awesome lineups of guest & giveaways all this week.  You’ll want to make sure to stop by!  Today I shared how to make my cute & easy {Give Thanks} Blocks.

You’ll have to check out the block tutorial {here},
but I’ll show you how to make the adorable 2x4 pumpkins right here! :)

{I first saw these over on Brown Paper Package last year! Thanks, Kierste!}

All you do is cut 2x4’s into blocks!  For my largest pumpkin I cut 4 blocks 7 inches tall, for my medium pumpkin I cut 3 blocks 5 inches tall and for my smallest pumpkins I cut 2 blocks 3 inches tall.  Then I painted my block sets different shades of orange.  Sanded the edges to expose some wood.  Applied some wood stain with a foam brush & wiped off the excess with a rag.  Let them dry.  Then tied them together with ribbon!  That’s it!  Easy!  Love how they turned out!

Reminder: {wow me} wednesday starts in just about 3 hours!

Hope to see YOU there! :)
