Hello! Happy Saturday to you! One of our favorite things to do on a Saturday night is to have a movie night right at home with some yummy treats, of course. ;) If you haven’t heard yet Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out on DVD this past week. I know my boys were counting down the days. ha! They love superheroes! So we decided to celebrate the release of the DVD by making these yummy M&M's® Captain America Cupcakes. You know that #HeroesEatMMs. ;) These would also be great for a Captain America birthday party! So keep reading to see how easy these were to make. :)

I found everything to make these cupcakes at my local Walmart. You can get an M&M’s coupon to use at Walmart right {HERE}. :)
For this recipe you’ll need:
blue cupcake mix
oil
eggs
sugar sheets
star cookie cutter
white icing
2 cups mini M&Ms
1 bag milk chocolate M&Ms
First you’ll mix the batter up, & then add 2 cups of mini M&Ms. Stir in. Bake as directed. While your cupcakes are baking cut stars using your sugar sheets. I found these in the party section at Walmart. The sugar sheets were a little hard to cut with my cookie cutter. So I pushed down & imprinted the star shape on my sheet, & then I used a sharp knife to cut the star out. It was a little tricky but doable! ;)
After your cupcakes are cooled you can start decorating. First I used white icing to ice the top. Then I used the red & blue M&M’s to make a Captain America shield.
Just keep going around until your cupcake looks like this. You can just eat the extra M&M’s that you don’t need. ha! My favorite ones are the yellow ones. Annnnd apparently I am spot on because I took the What M&M are you? test & got yellow! haha! ;)
Then using just a little bit of icing on the back I attached my sugar star right on top of my cupcake.
I served these on my DIY cake stand, added a little bit of red shred around my cupcakes & now we are ready to celebrate the release of Captain America. :)
