This post is brought to you by We R Memory Keepers.
Hello! Happy Friday to YOU! :) I have a ton of fun stuff going on in this post! Yay! By the way, did you know that today is National Scrapbooking Day? Yes, it is! To celebrate I have teamed up with We R Memory Keepers & some of the other Lifestyle Studios Design Team Members to bring you some fun tutorials on all of our blogs today. Yes, it’s a blog hop! :) Plus We R Memory Keepers is giving away one of their awesome Crafter’s Totes. I’ll have links to all those goodies in just a bit, but first let me show you how I made this fun Mini Alphabet Book using some awesome We R Memory Keepers products. :)
I have made these cute little ABC books for my kiddos for years! I finally decided to update one for my youngest. He was wondering why his cute little face wasn’t in the old one we had! Poor guy! These little books are great for church or quiet time. My kiddos love flipping through the pages. Basically each page (or two) represents a letter, and you use family photos, stickers & embellishments on each page to go along with each letter of the alphabet.
For this project you’ll need a few supplies. :)
scrapbook paper
white cardstock
stickers
ribbon
Dies (I used this alphabet die.)
Evolution Die Cutting Machine or other die cutter
TIP: To see how to use the Evolution Die Cutter I have a tutorial {HERE}.
Genius Platform (optional)
TIP: For a Genius Platform tutorial you can head over {HERE}.
Sticky Thumb or other adhesive
vinyl lettering (optional)
chevron washi tape
washi tape
other embellishments
Lifestyle Crafts QuickStik
your favorite family photos
journaling pen
scissors
decorative scissors
paper trimmer
cheap plastic photo album from the Dollar Bin
This project is super easy! First I created the cover for my book. The good thing about this project is that you can be creative, & you can do it however you’d like to! Your kiddos are going to love it no matter what! ;) They could even help put one together.
Then you’ll start working on each page! You have to get creative with some of the letters!
Here’s are the words we used in our book to give you an idea! ;)
A: Ault (my maiden name), apple
B: baby, blessing
C: Cailey (my daughter), Clay (my hubby), cat, cowboy, Cole (my son), Cara (my daughter)
D: deer, Daddy, dog
E: Easter
F: fall, farm
G: Ginger (me!), graduation, Grandmother Ault
H: Halloween, happy, house
I: I love you.
J: jump
K: kite, Kelsey (my niece), kiss
L: ladder, Leigh (my sister)
M: milk, Mom
O: blow OUT (picture of my son blowing out his birthday candles)
P: princess
Q: queen
R: Rylan (my son), read, Riches (my sister’s family), raccoon
S: swim, snow, summer, swing
T: temple
U: umbrella
W: Whiskers (our cow)
X: X-mas
Y: Youngbloods (my sister’s family)
Z: Zach (my son), zzzzzzzz (someone sleeping)
When you’re done you’ll just slide each page inside your album, and then tie a cute ribbon around the top. All done! :)
