My 9 year old son, Rylan, has wanted a skateboard for a long time!
{He even had a skateboard birthday cake one year!}
Seriously, he has been asking his dad & I for a skateboard for years!
So we finally decided that he was old enough
& big enough to get a skateboard! Wahoo!
So we headed to Walmart to check out their skateboards for kids.
Last week when I was shopping at this store,
I had spotted a huge pallet display of
Shaun White Supply Company skateboards.
This week the pallet was moved out
& the Shaun White Supply Company skateboards
were on the shelves with all the other skateboards.
This made it easy to shop & compare the different models & styles.
So now all we had to do was decide which skateboard we wanted to take home.
Rylan ended up choosing a Thrash Series skateboard
from the Shawn White Supply Company.
I loved that it looked like a good quality board compared to the others,
& for the $39.97 price tag it was perfect for our budget. Yay!
{I think Rylan liked it because of the cool graphics on the bottom!}
Along with the Trash Series Shaun White Supply Company
has other styles of skateboards that range in price from $39.97 & up.
They also make safety equipment, too.
Outdoor family time is important to our family!
So today we planned an outing to the skate park
to take Rylan’s new skate board on a spin.
When we got to the skate park it was
packed with more “experienced” skaters.
So we took a little time to watch & learn from the pros…
then we headed to a nearby park to try out our new skateboard.
Skateboarding was a little trickier than we realized, too!
Thank goodness for a helmet & knee & elbow pads!
Overall skateboarding for the first time got a BIG thumbs up!
Here’s to many more afternoons spent together skateboarding in the park!
