I still want to feed my family a homemade meal at dinnertime, but I need something quick & simple! That is why I am so excited that I found the new Campbell's Soup for Easy Cooking. I love how creating quick, convenient and delicious homemade dinners like this Easy Taco Salad makes my family think I’m a “super mom”. Oh, if they only knew! ha! So keep reading, & I’ll show you how you can make a delicious weekend meal on a weeknight schedule with Campbell’s in under 30 minutes! (I’ll also have a Walmart coupon for you, too!)
You can find these new Campbell's Soups for Easy Cooking at Walmart in the soup aisle. These soups come in a fresh sealed carton, not a can! You can chose from 4 varieties. I picked up one of each! I want to try them all. ha! :)
- Savory Portobello Mushroom
- Creamy Herb & Garlic with Chicken Stock
- Sweet Onion
- Mexican Style Tomato
I love that these soups reinvent traditional family favorites in way fewer steps. You don’t have to worry about adding a lot of seasonings or extra ingredients with these soups. They are good to go! :)
- If your recipe calls for Cream of Mushroom, try the Savory Portobello Mushroom in instead. This is great for skillet recipes.
- If your recipe calls for Cream of Chicken, try the Creamy Herb & Garlic with Chicken Stock instead. Creamy Herb & Garlic is perfect for pot pies. Yum!

So let’s get started on this easy 30 minute recipe. You might want to try this Easy Taco Salad recipe tonight! :)
You’ll need:
1/2 white onion, chopped
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 carton Campbell’s Soups for Easy Cooking Mexican Style Tomato
In a skillet on the stove brown your ground beef & onion until cooked. Pour into a crock pot. (Did I mention this was a crock pot meal? Yes, it is!)
Next you will add one carton of Campbell’s Soups for Easy Cooking Mexican Style Tomato soup to your crock pot.
Stir well.
Cover. Cook on low for 2-3 hours. I love that I can put this on right before the kiddos get home (it takes about 15 minutes to get going), and then forget about it. Once dinner time rolls around a few hours later dinner is ready to serve!
This is the best taco meat I’ve ever had. It’s flavorful, tasty & my family loves it! We usually serve it in taco bowls or shells. We layer it with spinach leaves, beans & then the taco meat on top.
Then we top it with cheese, cherry tomatoes, olives, avocado & more.
