Good morning! I know I don’t usually post on Saturdays but this week we had something HUGE happen ~ so I had to share! Are you ready for this? We had a snow day ~ actually TWO snow days! Wahoo! ;) We received over 10 inches of snow from Thursday to Friday! Now this doesn’t happen very often around here at all. So we were a little bit excited! ;) When it snows this much one of our favorite things to do is to make snow ice cream. So I thought I’d share our yummy recipe just in case you are having a snow day, too! So keep reading. ;)
Ingredients:
1 cup of milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
2 or 3 drops of food coloring (optional)
4-5 cups of CLEAN unpacked snow*
*To get CLEAN snow we set big bowls out on our deck while it’s snowing to collect the snow. Then we pop the bowls in our big freezer until we are ready to make ice cream. Collect snow at your own risk. ;)
Mix together the milk, vanilla, and the sugar in a large bowl. Stir this mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Add a few drops of food coloring if you want to. Then slowly add the snow to your mixture! Stir until smooth. Do not over stir. Then enjoy! :) One of my kiddos said we should move to Alaska so we can have snow ice cream every day! ha! :)
Here are a few more “snowy” ideas! Enjoy! :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!
We are about to go sledding! Wish me luck! ha! ;)
