Love You Valentine’s Jar {tutorial} + Print & Cut Blog Hop

Hello! It’s that time again ~ time for another fun Silhouette Challenge! Wahoo! I just love these! This month’s challenge is all about the most amazing feature of a Silhouette machine ~ Print & Cut! These Love You Valentine’s Jars were so easy to put together! Keep reading to see how I did it, get some tips on using the Print & Cut feature AND I’ll have links to tons of Print & Cut ideas from my fellow Silhouette Challenge bloggers. So let’s get started! ;)

For this project you’ll need a few supplies:
glass jars (I found these at Target.)
a Silhouette (I used my Portrait.)
clear sticker paper
twine
heart marshmallows or candy
this print & cut image

I have a very detailed print & cut tutorial right {HERE}. You’ll want to check that out first. Sometimes you’ll follow those instructions & your Silhouette will have a little trouble reading the registration marks. Then you will have help it out a bit! Don’t worry ~ it’s easy! Instead of clicking “detect automatically”, click on “detect manually”.

Then you will use the blue arrows (see red arrow) to move your blade right over the top left square (see black arrow).

So the blade will be sitting right on top of the black square (see below). Then you will push detect registration marks, & then the Silhouette will be able to “see” & cut out your design perfectly. It’s really amazing. ;)

The rest is super easy! I just stuck the stickers onto my jars.

Annnnd then I filled the jars with heart marshmallows. You could also use heart shaped chocolates or conversation hearts. Both of those would be super cute, too.

Then I tied some twine around the top of my jar. That’s it! :)
