Hello! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It was a hot one over here. ha! ;) If you have followed me on instagram over the past year or so you have seen some of the progress (sometimes slooooooow progress!) we made as we added an addition onto the back of our home. What a project that was! Whew! We did all of the work ourselves, and we learned a ton! I'm not sure we will ever attempt that again though! ha! ;) We did pass our final inspection in June, and now that the kiddos are back in school it's time for me to decorate! Yay! At first I was struggling a little bit on deciding how to decorate. I had bought these pillows a few months back. At first I was trying to decorate around them, but it just wasn't working out. :( I guess flowers & gray & yellow aren't my thing! ha! So I decided to go back to the clean lines & simple look that I love. Annnnd I am so excited how it is turning out. I recently received this lovely entertainment credenza from Sauder Furniture. I love the clean lines of this piece. I think it looks great with the simple patterns I’ve picked out for the room. So keep reading to see some more & to find out what style I am! :)
I love having the internet at my fingertips! It makes shopping for furniture a breeze! You can browse, compare, window shop ~ all from the comfort of your couch! ha! It doesn't get any better than that! :) The Sauder website is amazing. You can search for different products, search by collection or even spaces. They even have a Style Lab! You can figure out what style of furniture fits you! Check out a few of the pieces I was thinking about. Can you tell what style I am? ;)
According to the Sauder Style Lab my style is Transitional. Transitional is when classic traditional meets the clean lines of contemporary. I totally agree! So I think the piece I picked out for our home fits me perfectly! :) You really should check out the whole Original Cottage Line. It's amazing!
Another thing that I love about online furniture shopping is that the furniture gets delivered right to your door! Love that! I was so excited to get to work assembling this piece of furniture. The only tools we needed were the instructions, a hammer & screwdriver & two helpers. Now it was time to get to work! :)
The instructions were very detailed & easy to follow. If we did run into trouble we could of called customer service for help. We didn't end up needing to do that. It all came together pretty quickly. It took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to totally assemble our new piece of furniture. So not bad for an afternoon project. :)
So in no time at all we had a brand new piece of furniture put together! I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I get a project done! Yay! :) I just have to mention how much I love Sauder's customer service. A couple of the boards had a ding right along the edge. I emailed Sauder, & within a few days I had brand new replacement parts delivered right to my door for free. I was able to switch the parts out easily. They were really great to work with & responded so quickly.
So for now I have this spot of our brand new room all decorated! Still working on the rest! ha! I'll share more as we go along. One of these days I'll do a big reveal post! ;)
For now we are really enjoying having more space. :) Annnd I love having this lovely new piece of furniture to help us stay organized & clutter free! Just look how many movies fit in those drawers! Awesome! ;)
