Earlier this week I told you how excited our family is for our local football season to start. College football is just around the corner, too. Yay! Whether you attend your favorite college football game or are watching the big game on TV you’ll need the perfect tailgating food! Annnnd nothing says game day food better for us than some Go Hogs! Jello-O Jigglers. How about those Hogs? ;) Buuuut just because we live in Arkansas now doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten our Texas roots! I’ll let you know what other team we LOVE to “root” for, too! :) So keep reading to find out what team that is & see how to get those perfect Arkansas Jell-O Jigglers colors.
Making Jello-O Jigglers is super easy! It is my kind of recipe! ha! :) To make these you will use the molds that come in your Jell-O mold kit. Each kit comes with 2 molds & 4 boxes of Jell-O.
Before we begin…a few tips! :) Do NOT spray your mold kits with cooking spray. I didn’t have any trouble with mine sticking. Also, when it’s time to take your Jigglers out of the mold just set the trays on the counter for a few minutes then carefully pop the Jigglers out of the mold with your finger. Now on to the recipes for the Arkansas colors of black & red. :)
For this recipe you’ll need:
1 3 oz. box of Lime Jell-O
2 3 oz. boxes of Grape Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
For this recipe you’ll need:
2 boxes of Strawberry Jell-O
1 1/3 cups boiling water
Boil your water on the stove. In a separate bowl combine the boxes of Jell-O. Stir boiling water into the gelatin mix. Stir for 2 minutes or until gelatin dissolves completely.
Then it’s time to get your university molds out! :)
one ~ Set your molds on a cookie tray first.
two ~ Carefully pour your mixture into each mold.
three ~ Refrigerate for 3 hours or until set.
Then enjoy them at your next tailgating or game day event! :)
You can find your local team’s Jell-O University Mold Kits at Walmart stores, but if you want to find a larger variety of schools for purchase you can just hop over to Walmart.com & order your favorite team right off their website!
Annnnd that is just what we did! We may love our local Razorbacks but nothing can top my husbands alma mater ~ Texas A&M University. Gig ‘em, Aggies! So I hopped over to Walmart.com & order our family an A&M Jigglers Kit, too! ha!
It was super easy to do, and they were delivered right to my doorstep! You can’t beat that! :) Annnnd in a couple of weeks we will see which one these teams comes out on top when they play each other! We can’t wait! :)
