This post is brought to you by Silhouette.
Thanksgiving is almost here! Eek! Wasn’t it just summer time? ha! I really do love the holidays though, and I’m so excited for Thanksgiving & then Christmas to come along! My kiddos always love counting down to the holidays. Today I’d love to show you how I made this easy Thankful Thanksgiving Countdown using a Silhouette Advent Calendar frame. Keep reading to see how I did it. :)
For this project you’ll need:
Silhouette Advent Calendar
numbered place cards
fall scrapbook paper
leaf clipart from the Silhouette online store
CAMEO
chalkboard vinyl
chalk or chalk marker
First I used my Cameo to cut fall leaves out of scrapbook paper. The CAMEO can cut so many different things ~ vinyl, paper, chipboard, material, stamping material & so much more. I love mine! :) (Make sure you check out over 20 of my favorite Silhouette projects.)
Then I cut some chalkboard vinyl into rectangles & applied them to the back of my numbered cards. (You can see my how to cut & apply vinyl tutorial here.)
I love this advent calendar. It has clips & wires all ready for you! So I just clipped on my leaves & cards ~ 1 through 14 ~ onto my advent calendar.
Now for the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving we can take one card off & write what we are thankful for on it each day. Then flip it over & hang it back on our calendar.
I’m excited about starting this new family tradition with our family!
Do you have any fun Thanksgiving traditions?
Have you ever counted down the days to something? I’d love hear!
Here’s some more ways our family has counted down to special days. :)
