On Friday I shared my ultimate Easter basket. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing the tutorials on some of the handmade things I included in my basket. Today I’d love to show you how I made these cute Easter inspired DIY crayon boxes using my PSA Essentials stamps & my Silhouette.
I was inspired by A Pumpkin & A Princess’s adorable crayon boxes that she made for Valentine’s Day, & Crystal also shares a tip for making your own crayon boxes if you don’t have a digital craft cutter. So pop over here to see hers.
Since I do own a Silhouette I did a quick search in their online store for crayon boxes. I bought the 3D crayon box for 8 crayons & downloaded it. {Don’t forget about the ah-mazing Silhouette deals going on right now.}
So I opened up the crayon box using my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition. When you open it up it’s already the perfect size, so you don’t have to do anything to it. Just send it to your Silhouette to cut out using scrapbook paper or card stock.
While my Silhouette was cutting out the boxes I used my PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamp & stamper to make some cute labels for my crayon boxes.
I used the bunny from this Peel & Stick Stamp set. I love this stamp set. I’ve used it before to make safari cupcake toppers for my sister’s baby shower. So cute!
After I stamped the bunnies onto white card stock I punched them out with my paper punch. I added a little color to their eyes & tummy with a colored pencil.
Then I used a glue stick to glue the labels onto my crayon boxes.
Then I continued to assemble my boxes. They were really, really easy to put together.
Then all that is left to do is fill your crayon boxes with crayons. ;) I know my kiddos are going to love these crayon boxes!
