Today I’d love to show you how to make this super easy I love you because dry erase frame that I made with a little help from a Silhouette Sketch Pen. (They are so cool!) Now for the I love you because dry erase frame tutorial! ;)
You’ll need: a frame, white card stock, Silhouette Cameo or Portrait, Silhouette Sketch Pen, vinyl lettering
This is my first time using the Silhouette Sketch Pens, and I loved them! The Sketch Pen Starter kit comes with 24 pens in all these fun colors plus a download card with 10 sketch images.
The Silhouette Sketch Pens basically look like a short ball point pen! Aren’t they cute? ;)
Using them is so easy, too. First you unlock & remove your Silhouette blade & set it aside.
Then you replace it with a Silhouette Sketch pen. It just slides right in, & then you turn the knob to the right & lock it in place.
Then you’re are all ready to sketch a design. I used this fun Chevron design that was included in in the starter kit download.
I tried several different colors…just because it was so fun to watch! I decided to use this bright yellow pen for my final project. I used my Cameo & sketched the Chevron design onto white card stock, & then I slid the card stock inside my frame behind the glass. Then I applied some vinyl lettering to the front of my frame that said I love you “bee”cause. Isn’t that little bee cute? I found him in the Silhouette online store.
Now we have a sweet place to write notes back & forth to each other! ;)
