Good morning! Recently I was called as the 2nd counselor in the Young Women’s program (the girls age 11-18) at church. So, you might see a lot more young women inspired crafts now on the blog. ha! ;) Anyways, it’s been a lot of fun. I work mostly with the younger girls ages 11-13, and they are fabulous! One of them is my amazing daughter! :) I love spending time with them. Recently at our Personal Progress night we were talking about why we work on our personal progress goals & why we say the YW theme each week. It all leads us to the temple. So, I made these cute DIY temple necklaces that they could wear to remind them of their goal to go to the temple.
I’ve already shared the tutorial on how to make these cute glass tile necklaces right here.
For these necklaces, I basically did the exact same thing. The only difference is that instead of a photo I used scrapbook paper with a tiny vinyl temple on it. I would recommend using a nice thick paper. I love the printed cardstock from We R Memory Keepers.
Here’s the supply list:
glass tiles
chains
scrapbook paper
vinyl temples
Diamond Glaze
small paint brush
Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
You can grab the Design Space file for the temples & squares right here.
