Good morning! I don’t know if I have officially announced it here on the blog yet. Buuuut if not, here we go! ha! :) My oldest son is getting married! Eek! Crazy, I know! How is he that old? Annnd how am I that old? ;) He will be getting married in Utah in just a few weeks. Next month, we will be having an open house at our house to celebrate. So, I have been busy getting everything ready for that. I want to keep it sweet & simple. We are going with a farmhouse picnic theme complete with BBQ, candles, patio lights, outdoor games, buffalo check tablecloths, farmhouse metal chairs & of course, using lots of pictures in the decorating. I love decorating with pictures in my home, & a wedding reception is also the perfect place to display photos of the happy couple. So, today I’d love to share some wedding reception centerpiece ideas featuring MIXPIX Photo Tiles from CanvasDiscount.com. I would love to get your thoughts! Let’s get started. :)
I want to give a shout out to my son’s future father-in-law who took these beautiful photos. He did a great job! They are the same ones that were used on their wedding invitations, too. So, I thought they’d be perfect to display at the open house. Mix Pix Photo Tiles from CanvasDiscount.com will work perfectly for this. They measure 8 inch by 8 inch. You can stick, remove & rearrange these anyway you’d like to. I decided that I am going to use an easel to display them at the open house, and then after we are finished I’ll pass them along to my son & daughter-in-law, & they can use these to decorate their new apartment. Wouldn’t they look cute displayed on the wall? :)
Alright, this is where I need you’re help! ha! I’ve been collecting, buying & borrowing things over the last few months to use for the centerpieces. Now it’s time for the fun part ~ putting everything together. :)
I came up with 5 different ways to arrange the centerpieces on the tables. Let me know your favorite!
I’m calling option #1 the wood slice centerpiece. It has a simple would slice, black open lanterns, candles & a cute picture on an easel.
Option #2 features a glass & metal lantern with candle, monogram & cute picture.
Option #3 has several different sized wood slices, a black lantern with a candle & a cute picture. I added a piece of burlap underneath it all. Are you a burlap fan? ;)
With option #4, I kept the burlap, brought back the monogram & added an oversized glass votive with a metal base.
Right now, option #5 might be my favorite! I kept the burlap, added an extra lantern & added some greenery around the picture. What do you think? :)
Now just imagine the candles burning & patio lights in the background. :)
Anyway you go, using pictures just brings that personal touch to any occasion. I love pictures! :)
I also wanted to show you this huge 30x40 photo canvas that I ordered from CanvasDiscount.com. My son & his future wife will be getting married in the Provo City Center Temple in Utah. Since most of our guests won’t be able to make the drive out to Utah, I thought I’d bring a little bit of Utah to the open house. So, I bought this beautiful watercolor digital image of the temple from a seller online, & then I uploaded the image into CanvasDiscount.com & ordered this huge 30x40 canvas. It turned out so beautiful! I’m going to make paper flowers to hang along bottom. It’s going to be ah-mazing! :) I’ll share more later! Also, right now when you use the code GINGERSNAPCRAFTS all of YOU can get an additional 15% off to all, already discounted CANVAS prints as seen on CanvasDiscount.com website.
