Hello! Good morning! It’s summer! One thing we like to do each summer (really anytime!) is to surprise our neighbors & friends with treats! It’s so fun to leave them on their doorstep, ring the doorbell & then run away or take some treats to church & surprise them that way. Last week my daughter took these sweet treats to the other girls in her young women’s group at church. They were so easy to put together, & Glad Press’n Seal made the perfect little packages to hold our cookies. ;) Everyone knows that Glad Press’n Seal is great for keeping food safe & fresh, but it can be used for so much more than that! (Be sure to follow the hashtag #pressnsealhacks for more ideas!) So keep reading for a Sweet Treat Gift Idea, & I have a free printable for you! So you can make these, too. :)
Glad Press’n Seal has the amazing ability to stick to a variety of materials (wood, paper, plastic, glass & even itself!) The options are endless with what you can do with it! Eek! I used it’s ability to stick to itself for this project. ;) You can find Glad Press’n Seal at Walmart in both 70 & 120 square foot rolls. That’s were I picked up mine!
For this project you will need:
Glad Press’n Seal
white cardstock
printer
this printable
mini hole punch
twine
patterned scrapbook paper
distressing ink (optional)
cookies ;)
First, you’ll tear off a piece of Glad Press’n Seal. Then lay out your cookies. I left a few inches between each cookie.
Then carefully lay another sheet of the Glad Press’n Seal over the top.
With your finger gently press down around each cookie. Then cut out each one.
This perfectly seals each cookie inside their own cute little package.
Next I printed out this printable onto white cardstock. You can print out a set {HERE}, or you can click & then right click & save the image below.
I cut them out, & then I distressed the edges with some ink.
Then I glued them on some cute scrapbook paper, punched a hole & tied them on my cookies.
These make the perfect sweet treats to give to friends! So cute!
