I bought Cottonelle toilet paper for this project at Target. You’ll also need just a few things besides toilet paper! ;)

You’ll also need:
ghost cupcake pan (I found mine on ebay!)
mold release spray (or vegetable oil spray)
sponges
water
blender
fine tip pen
wire sieve

supplies #ad

First you’ll tear the toilet paper into little pieces & put them in your blender. (Not the whole roll ~ just enough to fill your blender about 3/4 full or so.)

Add enough water to cover your toilet paper. Let this sit for 2 minutes.

Put the lid on your blender, and then blend on low speed for about 15 seconds. Then you’ll increase your speed to high for about 1 minute. Your toilet paper/water mixture will now look like this:

Spray your pan with the mold release. (If you are using vegetable oil spray instead of the mold release you’ll need to slightly wipe your pan down after you spray with a paper towel. You don’t want to have too much in your pan.)

Then you’ll use a metal sieve to dip out some mushy toilet paper! ;)

Put about one scoop in each ghost section. Then you’ll grab a sponge!

You’ll press your sponge into each ghost to absorb all of the extra water. Ring out your sponge into a bowl, and then repeat. Try to get out as much water as possible. As you can tell from the little hands in this picture, this is a great job for the kiddos! ;)

Once your ghosts look like the one on the left you are ready to do some baking! ha! What you’ve never cooked toilet paper before? haha! ;)

You’ll put the pan in a 325° oven for about 15 minutes. It will vary for different ovens, so you’ll just have to watch them close. When the edges start pulling away from the pan they are done!

Also, when they are done they will pop easily out of the pan with little effort.

After they cooled for a couple of minutes I drew on a cute little face with a fine tipped pen.

So adorable! :)

I grabbed a mason jar, a branch off a tree, some shredded paper & ribbon. I stuck the shredded paper in the jar, & then I put my branch inside. Then I tied a ribbon around the jar & added the word “Boo!”. Then I hot glued my ghosts all over the branch! This makes a cute ghost tree for your entry way or even a spooky centerpiece for a Halloween table.
