Good morning! The big day is almost here! We are almost in the single digits countdown! Are you ready? It seems like every year I’m down to the last minute on so many things. I’m trying to do better this year. ha! Buuut I’m usually a wrap everything on Christmas Eve kind of girl. I kind of like that tradition. ;) Thank goodness everything usually works out when I do that. It wasn’t always that way though! There has been many a Christmas Eve when I’m in the middle of “Santa” mode, & I have realized I have forgotten something! Like the batteries! Eek! I don’t really have this problem anymore, because I love to stock up on Energizer® batteries all year long & especially at the holidays. Ways to Keep Your Home Safe From Carbon Monoxide

Good morning! Today I’d like to talk about something that is extremely important to me. Something I am passionate about ~ keeping my home safe for my family. A few years ago, some friends of ours lost some close family friends to carbon monoxide poisoning. The cause was a faulty heating system and not having carbon monoxide detectors in their home. Having those detectors could of prevented that senseless tragedy. As soon as I heard about it, I went right to the store and bought carbon monoxide alarms for our home. It’s crazy that it took a tragedy before I did something so simple as installing those alarms. Many states (California, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma Oregon, Virginia, Washington & Wisconsin) adopted new building codes that took effect in 2011 which requires carbon monoxide alarms in all one-and-two-family homes. That’s been seven years ago! As with everything, these alarms don’t last forever. So, today I am excited to partner with First Alert to remind you that it’s time to change out those aging carbon dioxide alarms with brand new ones. Even if you don’t live in one of those states, please take action. It could save your life and the lives of your family!

Hello there! Spring is coming, and I can just feel it! ha! I can hardly wait for some warmer days. Recently I was shopping at Walmart (again!), and I ran across their huge cartons of Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers Cheddar in the 30 oz. carton and Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers Colors in the 30 oz. carton. I grabbed both of those since they are on rollback for $6.46 (in stores) right now. My whole family loves those little crackers. I might need to go back & get some more. ha! Annnnnd it got me thinking of some ways to get my kiddos up & active! Our sedentary lifestyle this winter needs to be kicked to the curb. ha! I want to get everyone up & moving this spring. Yay! Good morning! I hope you been following along on my facebook page as I have been sharing different ways to light the world each day this month leading up to Christmas. Every day has a new theme & a new way to brighten someone’s life this holiday season. I know my family has been blessed as we have tried to light the world this year. I have to admit when my hubby came to me 10 years ago & told me that there was an job opening in Northwest Arkansas, I was like Northwest where???  I had no clue what to expect! We drove up one weekend to take a look, and our family immediately fell in love with the area. We decided it would be the perfect place to raise our family! We moved here that summer. We live right in the middle of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We have all 4 seasons. Fall & spring are both beautiful. Summer is not too hot, and we do get some snow in the winter. So fun! I LOVE where we live. We love it so much that we are planning on moving to new home soon right down the road. I will fill you in on all the details very soon. Yesterday my daughter & I had the opportunity to visit the Bentonville Film Festival in beautiful downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. It was a beautiful spring day here in Northwest Arkansas. This is the second year for the festival that celebrates women & diversity in the media & film industry. It takes a lot of manpower & sponsors to put together this amazing event. Hello! It’s Friday, and I am so ready for the weekend. My hubby has been out of town for 2 weeks, and I’m so glad that he is back! ;) While he was gone we did have some fun times though! My daughter was super excited to get a special package in the mail just for her! She received a LEGO® Friends Heartland Juice Bar play set!
