Hello! How was you weekend? Ours was coooooold! Brrrrr! So it was the perfect weather to stay inside & have a movie night with the hubby at home! ;) Annnd that is just what we did! ha! To go along with our date night I also made a yummy movie night popcorn recipe using Orville Redenbacher's popcorn & M&M's®. It was amazing with lots of chocolate! So keep reading to get the recipe. :)
These are the perfect ingredients for a perfect date night! ;)
For this recipe you’ll need:
2 bags of Orville Redenbacher's popcorn (I used the Kettle Corn variety.)
regular M&M's®
1 bag of white chocolate chips
sprinkles
Since we were watching The Blind Side I picked out all the M&M's® that went along with the school colors (green & blue) & football (brown) in the movie. Pretty fancy! ;) First, you will pop the 2 bags of popcorn. Then melt half of the bag of white chocolate chips in the microwave. Watch closely. Stir several times at you are melting the chocolate. You don’t want it to burn.
Then pour melted chocolate over your warm popcorn. Stir. Coat the popcorn evenly with the white chocolate. Sit popcorn in the refrigerator for a few minutes so the chocolate will harden back up. Then stir in the sprinkles, the rest of the white chocolate chips & the M&M's®. Cover until ready to serve. Then enjoy!
This recipe is a hit around our house! I even saved some for the kiddos! ;)
