This post is brought to you by ConsumerCrafts.com.
Hello! A few weeks ago I showed you the box of goodies I received from Consumer Crafts. I LOVE shopping at ConsumerCrafts.com for all of my craft supply needs. Annnnd boy do I have some needs! ha! ;) How about you? Now it’s time to show you what I made! Yay! :) I’m just about to break out my Christmas decorations. I have been patiently waiting for Thanksgiving to get here before I do that. I have been working on some projects so I’ll be ready! I love this DIY Christmas Card Holder I made with some of the supplies I picked up at Consumer Crafts. I am loving the rustic, white & gold theme that I’ve been seeing everywhere. I am so happy at how this turned out. So keep reading to see how you can make one, too! :)
To get started you’ll need a few supplies:
chicken wire/chalkboard unfinished wood frame
wood pennant set
mini clothespins
gold paint
white paint
foam brushes
gold vinyl
die cutting machine (like a Silhouette or Cricut)
First, sand slightly & then paint all of your unfinished wood white (or whatever color you’d like). Then I cut of some fun designs in gold vinyl using my Silhouette.
Once my pennants were nice & dry I applied my vinyl. Then I strung my pennants onto a piece of twine. I really love the look of white, gold & rustic. Did I already say that? ;) I’m soooooo happy that this combo is so popular this year! :)
I tied my cute banner on using the the two hooks that came already attached to the chicken wire/chalkboard frame. It worked perfectly!
Sooooooo cute!!!
To attach the Christmas cards I just used mini clothespins that I had painted gold to match! I kind of love it! :)
Have you started decorating for Christmas? What are your favorite color combinations this year? I’d love to hear! Leave a comment below. :)
