Good morning! I am excited to partner today with some of my favorite bloggers to bring you tons of fun party ideas made with our Cricut machines. :) Fun, right? I think the most important party decor is the banner. Am I right? I love hanging happy birthday banners, good luck banners, congratulation banners, etc. for any party or occasion that I host. That’s why I love this Chalkboard Banner. It’s super cute, and you can change it up depending on what occasion you are celebrating. Summer Camp Link Party

For the last several years I’ve had the honor to be a camp counselor at Design Dazzle’s Summer Camp! I always LOVE participating in the fun. Now it’s your turn! Today I am excited to be co-hosting the 5th Annual Summer Camp Link Party! Yay! Keep reading to see more! :)

Our Summer Camp Link party starts today and will run through Saturday July 11th. Feel free to link up any projects, ideas, crafts, etc. that you have created which involve Summer Fun & Kids . Christmas Wonderful Link Party

Hello! Happy Friday to you! You may have seen Design Dazzle's 5th annual Christmas Wonderful series that is in full swing! They have had some fabulous Christmas ideas from some talented bloggers (including me!!!), and they are not done yet...the fun continues through the middle of December! Over the years Design Dazzle has shared almost 200 blog posts with hundreds and hundreds of ideas. How To Join a Link Party & Link Party Tips {blogging tips}

I've been blogging for almost 2 & 1/2 years & the two biggest things that helped my blog grow have been Pinterest & link parties! We'll save Pinterest for another day. ha! Today I'd love to share some tricks & tips when it comes to link parties.

Before we get to that you need to know what a link party is & how to link up to one! :)

A link party is hosted on someone else's blog usually weekly, monthly or seasonally. You can also host one on your blog if you want to! (Annnd just in case you haven’t heard I have a link party on my blog that goes live every Tuesday at 7 pm central. I'd love to have you link up!) A link party is great because you get to come over to another blog & link up your latest projects & ideas. Other bloggers & blog readers will be able to see your projects, and hopefully you'll gain some more exposure & readers for your own blog. It's also a great way to meet & connect with other bloggers. Most link party host also do a weekly feature post featuring some of the link ups. My feature post are always on Thursdays. Link parties are awesome!

This week marks my 2 year blog birthday! I can’t believe it! I still feel like I’m so new to this blogging thing & half the time don’t even feel like a blogger! ha! I’ve got some fun things planned for this week so I hope you’ll follow along! Tonight we are going to have a huge {wow me} wednesday party with over 40 other bloggers co-hosting!! When I look back over the past two years I feel that my link party has been one of the biggest things that has helped my blog grow, introduced me to many of you & allowed me to feature YOU. Sometimes I think link parties get a bad rap around blogland…some say that there are too many, too much work & too time consuming. Buuut I’m here to tell you that you can hold a stress-free, fun & successful link party! Here’s how! :)

PINSPIRED and REWIRED

We have been busy planning a new blogging series,
and we are so excited to announce it today!
The series consists of the 4 hosts picking an inspiration project from Pinterest.
We then made our own version (adding our own twist, of course),
& we’ll reveal it in a just a minute along with the theme.
Then you will have 3 weeks to do the same.

tutorial {valentine block} + valentine link party continued

Didn’t I say I was done with Valentine’s??? ;)
Buuuut just one more cute & easy Valentine craft.
(& then I promise that’s it…… I think!! )  :)
I was asked to do the craft at our Relief Society activity this week.
Annnnnd thanks to Alison from Oopsey Daisy
it didn’t take me long to come up with something. (Thank you, Alison!)
Head over to her blog to download her free Valentine printable.
Then come back here & I’ll tell you how to make these adorable blocks.

You’ll need:
free printable from Alison
block of wood (5 inch x 7 inch)
paint/foam brush
mod podge or spray adhesive
white cardstock
Valentine scrapbook paper
paper cutter
ribbon & tulle

Paint your block of wood.  Let it dry. 
Then you’ll cut your scrapbook paper & printable
just smaller than your block of wood. 
Use the spray adhesive (or mod podge) to stick the
scrapbook paper & printable to your block. 

   

TIP:  If you are using mod podge don’t go
over the top of your printable because the ink might smear!

   

Once you have your scrapbook & printable attached to your block get some ribbon and tulle.
I just tied the ribbon around the top, & then I tied a piece of tulle in the middle of the knot.

So cute!
