Chalkboard Banner with Cricut {tutorial} & Party Idea Blog Hop

Good morning! I am excited to partner today with some of my favorite bloggers to bring you tons of fun party ideas made with our Cricut machines. :) Fun, right? I think the most important party decor is the banner. Am I right? I love hanging happy birthday banners, good luck banners, congratulation banners, etc. for any party or occasion that I host. That’s why I love this Chalkboard Banner. It’s super cute, and you can change it up depending on what occasion you are celebrating. Let me show you how easy is was to put together. :) (Annnnd you’ll want to scroll down all the way to the bottom of this post. I have links to all the other party ideas there! So fun!)

For this project you will need:
any Cricut machine (I used my Cricut Explore Air 2. You could also use the Cricut Maker.)
Cricut chalkboard vinyl
Cricut cardstock
cutting mat
twine
mini hole puncher

I love the Cricut Explore Air 2! The dial is my favorite. You simply turn it to what material you are cutting, and let the machine do the rest. It makes it easy to switch between materials when you are working with more than one type of material like this project.

Then I cut out two sizes of pennants. For the larger ones, I used the cardstock.

Then I cut out the chalkboard pennants just a little bit smaller.

Now it’s time to assemble.

The chalkboard vinyl is thicker than normal vinyl. So I didn’t even use transfer tape for this project.

I just stuck the chalkboard pennant right onto the cardstock for each one like a big sticker.

Next I punched a hole on each top corner with a mini hole puncher.

Then I strung them on a piece of twine. Easy peasy! :)

I love it! Annnnd I can’t wait to display it at our next party! :)

Enjoy these other fun party ideas. Let me know your favorite. :)
