I made this amazing teacher gift basket (for a man) using great products from Office Depot as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #GearLove #GearUpForGreat
Hello! How are you? Amazing! I hope! As you may know I come from a big family ~ 6 girls & one (lucky!) boy. ha! My brother has been a news reporter for several years. Right now he is in Dallas covering all the top stories. So I was a little bit surprised when he called me last week & told me that he was hanging up his camera & life in the spotlight to become a teacher! Eek! He will be teaching 7th grade Texas history starting this fall. I am so happy for him, and I know he will make a great teacher. Of course, as his big sister I want to help him gear up for a great year this fall. So I headed off to Office Depot to pick up some of the gear that I love that I knew would be perfect for his new classroom this fall. I picked up some of my favorite things & made this teacher gift basket for a man. You don’t see many manly teacher gift ideas! ha! So keep reading to see what gear love I am sharing with my brother. I’ll also give you some tips for assembling a gift basket, & I have a cute teacher printable for you, too. So let’s get started. :)
Office Depot has a HUGE selection of everything!!! They have tons for your home office, school supplies for kiddos & teachers & lots of gear to love for the craftiest of crafters. (That’s me!) ha!
You can gear up for great at Office Depot & find just about anything & everything that you need for so many creative, home & organizational projects. So I knew it was the perfect place to shop for supplies to make an amazing gift basket for my brother.
So here’s THE list of #GearLove that I included in this amazing gift basket:
Did you see some of your favorite #gearlove listed? I’d love to hear what you’d add to the basket! So here’s how I put mine together. First, you need a “basket”. I loved this desktop organizer I found at Office Depot. I loved the brown color…. I thought it looked pretty manly even though it’s in the See Jane Work line! ha! ;)
Next, I filled my “basket” with some matching shred.
Then I put all my bigger, taller items in first.
Then I filled in with the mid-size items.
Then I put the smaller, chubbier items right in front.
Next I made this cute teacher tag to put inside my basket.
I printed it off, put it on a piece of scrapbook paper & taped it to a pencil.
Then I stuck it right in the basket. Cute!
You can print out this cute tag right {HERE}.
You can also right click & save the image below.
Then resize as needed. :)
I thought it needed a little something to embellish the front of the “basket”.
So I made a paper garland with scrapbook paper & some twine. All done!
I love how it turned out, and I can’t wait to give it to my brother.
I’m making a classroom door sign for him, too. I’ll show you that soon! :)

Don’t forget to tag all your #GearLove, too. I’d love to see it! :)
