Hello! Hasn’t the weather been amazing lately? Finally! ha! ;) My husband’s birthday was about 2 weeks ago, and we surprised him with a new grill. He has been anxious to try it out. This last week we have actually grilled outside 3 times. Grilling makes it so easy to make dinners. Plus you don’t mess up the kitchen. I’m kind of impressed with my gift choice! ha! ;) Annnd this past Friday we had a yummy cook out as a family to kick off grilling season. We cooked up some yummy sweet & spicy bar-b-que chicken wings with grilled corn on the cob served with some ice cold lemonade! Yum! So keep reading to get the amazing recipes!
These two recipes are amazing, & they are both the perfect party food. So let’s get started! :)
First you’ll put your corn in a large pot of water to soak. This will keep it from burning when it’s on the grill, and it will help make your corn on the cob so juicy & yummy in just a bit.
Next you’ll get your Tyson Grillin’ Wings out of the freezer. These wings can be found exclusively at Sam’s Club right now! So just look for them in the freezer section over by the other Tyson products. They are fully cooked, seasoned & ready to throw on the grill straight out of the bag. Once they are cooking on the grill they’ll be ready to eat in just about 12 minutes. How’s that for an easy & fast dinner or lunch idea? ;)
I made an easy sweet & spicy bar-b-que sauce to go along with our wings. It was really simple to make.
You will need:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup Kraft original bar-b-que sauce
1cup Kraft hickory smoke bar-b-que sauce
4 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Recipe inspired by this one over on Kraft.com.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, and then set the sauce aside. Now it’s time to go back to corn. Once corn has soaked for 20 minutes, you’ll dump out the water & grab some foil paper. Lightly spray your corn with some olive oil cooking spray & then season with salt & pepper. Then wrap in foil paper. We wrapped 3 small ears of corn in one piece of foil.
Next it’s time to grill! Yay! In a heated grill place your corn & chicken wings.
After about 8 minutes or so brush the top of your chicken wings with the sweet & spicy bar-b-que sauce. Close the lid, & cook the remaining 4 minutes or so. Remove the wings. We let the corn cook just awhile longer until the corn cobs were steamy & hot.
Now it’s time to eat! ;)
Serve the sweet & spicy chicken wings & corn on the cob with some ice cold lemonade, baked beans & a roll. Now that’s the perfect summer time meal! Yummy! :)
My kiddos thoroughly enjoyed this meal!
Annnnd they have the messy faces & fingers to prove it. haha! ;)
These sweet & spicy chicken wings didn’t last long at our house!
