supplies

To make your own gift bags you will need:
We R Memory Keeper Gift Bag Punch Board
scrapbook paper (I used this paper pack from We R Memory Keepers.)
Sticky Thumb adhesive

gift bag sizes

This punch board will make 3 different sizes of bags ~ small, medium & large. You can make your bags as tall or as short as you’d like depending on how wide you cut your paper. You have so many fun possibilities with this punch board! :)

gift bag 1

First you’ll cut your piece of paper depending on what size of bag you’d like to make. Tip: On the punch board it has the measurements listed for small, medium & large bags. You’ll begin by lining up the edge of your paper on the start line.

You’ll press down on the yellow button & punch. Then you’ll use your scoring tool to score a line on the medium line (or whatever size bag you’d like to make). Score a line on the horizontal line, too. Then move your vertical score line to the start & punch again.

Then you’ll use the scoring tool to score one side of your bag. Score a line where it says side. Make sure you score around the triangle, too. Also make sure you are scoring horizontally as you go along.

Then you’ll move the last scored line to the start line. Punch again. Then I scored a line on the medium line (since that is the size bag I was making). TIP: Score from the bottom up. It’s much easier! :)

Then move the scored line you just made to the start, punch and then score the other side of your bag. Don’t forget to score horizontally & around the triangle.

Then you’ll move the last line to the start & punch again. Then you’ll have a piece of paper that looks like this.

You can trim off the excess on the end.

Then you can use your scoring tool to help crease your gift bag along all of the scored lines.

If you’d like holes for ribbon on your gift bag there is a handy hole punch on your gift bag punch board, too! Very cool! ;)

Then you’ll use your adhesive to assemble your gift bag.
