Do you love watching television as a family? Nothing is better than a fun evening at home curled up on the couch together eating popcorn & watching a fun movie on the TV. Our family has used Netflix for several years now. We absolutely love it, and I’m excited to tell you why. :) Today I’d love to share the top 3 things that we LOVE about Netflix. Annnd it’s super affordable, too! :)
1. Netflix has a huge family friendly selection of programing. The awesome kids section has family favorites appropriate for children ages 2- 12. All the content on Netflix is chosen with help from Common Sense Media to provide ratings, reviews and information so you can easily make choices for your kiddos! Netflix has recently added new content from Hasbro, Disney Jr., Dreamworks and Cartoon Network, too. Yay!
One of my kiddos favorite movies in Dr. Suesss’ The Lorax. We have a family tradition of watching a movie together on Friday nights. We let the kiddos stay up a little later since it’s not a school night. We eat pizza for dinner, and then pop popcorn & watch a movie together. I think we’ve watched The Lorax at least a hundred times already! We love that movie! :)
2. I love how easy it is to stream Netflix. It is way easier than you think! :) You can download the free app on your iPad, Kindle Fire or other tablet, you can click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, you can use a streaming device like a Roku (that’s what we use the most) or you can visit Netflix.com on your computer – and then you’re in business. When the big kids are in school my 3 year old watches Netflix on on Kindle Fire. He can work it himself, and I love that Netflix lets you block certain ratings, so I know he can only select family friendly shows like Curious George, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally, 101 Dalmatians & Sesame Street.
3. I also love that you can watch your favorite TV shows and movies anywhere & any time you want. Netflix is available on hundreds of devices, which you probably already have at home! You can watch Netflix at home & on the go! It’s super easy to use! (Annnnd super nice when you have a long wait at the doctor’s office…just sayin’! ha!) :)
