Handmade Rag Quilts make the best gifts {High Boltage Quilting Review}

This post is brought to you by High Boltage Quilting.

Good morning! Recently I was contacted by Michelle from High Boltage Quilting about receiving one of her beautiful rag quilts. Michelle and her mom have made over 100+ handmade rag quilts that they have given away to friends, family members, coworkers and medical personnel. Now they have turned this wonderful hobby into a wonderful shop and are now offering their beautiful handmade rag quilts to everyone.

If you are not sure exactly what a rag quilt is, rag quilts are quilts that have exposed seams that fray when washed. This makes a rag quilt a very cozy quilt that's perfect to curl up in on the couch, lay on the ground outside in the sun or as a throw on in your bedroom. These quilts also make great gifts for new babies, weddings, or as gifts for the upcoming holidays. Let me tell you more about these beautiful quilts! (Just FYI, my daughter is in town this month, and I snagged my two grandsons for this cute rag quilt photo shoot!) :)

Christmas Fudge Gift Idea

This post is brought to you by Deseret Books.

Hello, friends! Christmas is just around the corner, and I wanted to give you the perfect gift idea to give to family & friends. Annnnnd this is also a tradition you might want to start as a family as well. Recently, I received the book Lieutenant Terry’s Christmas Fudge. Annnnnd I could not put it down. I read the entire book the day it came in the mail. It was that good! It is based on the true story of Lt. Wendell B. Terry who survived a horrific plane crash, and then he survived time spent as a prisoner of war in Germany during WW II. It’s a story of faith, service & miracles.

DIY Photo Gifts {tutorial}

Hello! One of my favorite things about blogging is connecting with other bloggers & crafters. That is why I was so happy to find the Silhouette Challenge facebook group a few months ago. I have enjoyed participating in their monthly Silhouette Challenges. Recently the group decided to do a fun craft swap with each other. We were each matched up with a fellow crafter, we got to “meet” each other & then we swapped gifts. Sounds fun, right? My fabulous partner was Kelly from Simply Kelly Designs. She made me the most adorable gift! You’ll see her gift & some of the other swappers’ gifts in just a bit. Buuuut first I want to show you what I made Kelly ~ these DIY Photo Gifts. So keep reading! :)

White Diamonds Perfume Gift Box ~ Christmas Gift Idea {tutorial}

I introduced you to my youngest sister, Megan a few months ago when I convinced her to attend SNAP blogging conference with me last spring! She’s cute, crazy, young & so much fun to be around! Totally opposite of me….I’m kind of old & boring! ha! She does makes me feel like a 20 something year old again though. Especially when we are making middle of the night runs to Denny’s, going into the big city for a night out or running down 3 flights of stairs getting to our seats for a concert. haha! ;) Sometimes it can be a little tricky trying to pick out the best gift for her since we do like such different things, but recently I found the perfect holiday gift for her! Yay! Keep reading to see how I put together this White Diamonds Perfume Gift Box for my sister (& see where I bought it for a great price). :)
