Preparing Your Kids for the Real World

My kiddos range in age from 8 to 20. Yep! I’m old! haha! Right before my oldest left from home, I began to worry. Did I teach him enough? Does he know how to budget? Can he change a flat tire? Will he be able to take care of himself? Does he know how to fry an egg? ;) I felt we prepared him pretty well, but of course, we could always have done better. One of those is budgeting. One of the biggest hurdles young people face when getting out on their own is handling money. They have to learn fairly quickly to budget, how to spend money & how to save, how to pay bills and more! With my younger kiddos I’ve decided to start some of this process a little bit earlier than I did with my oldest. I want them to be savvy with their money way before they leave home. That is why I love Greenlight, the smart debit card for kids. It helps your kiddos get a pretty good feel for how to handle their own money in the real world. Let me show you! :)

Teaching Your Kids to Take Care of Their Smiles

I taught my children how important it is to take care of their smiles with
LISTERINE® Smart Rinse, as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #LISTERINE

It’s that time of year….the holidays! All the yummy goodies start to pile up with Halloween & then continue on until the New Year. While it’s fun to have your family (including the kiddos!) indulge in the holiday celebrations & treats, we still need to make sure we are taking care of our pretty smiles, too! If your kiddos are like mine sometimes they need a little motivation to get to the bathroom to floss, brush & swish those teeth. Today I am excited to share some tips that I use to get my kiddos excited about taking care of their smiles.

Hello! Good morning! Did you have a good weekend? I hope so! As you probably already know I have 5 kiddos, and VeggieTales has been a show that our kiddos have loved to watch over the years! They love the silly songs and the funny & lovable characters like Bob & Larry. I love the awesome lessons and values it teaches in each episode. So we were super excited to find the new VeggieTales toys at Walmart! I love that my kiddos can bring these characters to life as they Sing, Play & Learn with VeggieTales. So keep reading to find out more, and I’ll be sharing our favorite VeggieTales song! Can you guess which one it is? :)
