Good morning! Rice Krispies are one of the staples in our pantry. We love eating them for breakfast, and we especially love using them to whip up some yummy treats this holiday season! Keep reading as I share not one, but TWO yummy Rice Krispies Treats recipes ~ an ooey gooey Turtle Rice Krispies Treats recipe & an equally rich Crunchy Brownie recipe. Let’s get started!
This is my little holiday recipe helper! She loves to help me in the kitchen. Annnnnd she especially loves Rice Krispies Treats! ha! Look at her excited face! She couldn’t wait to get started on these treats. ha! Let’s get to those recipes.
Turtle Rice Krispies Treats
1 package large marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies
3 tablespoons butter
1 jar of caramel
1 package crushed pecans
1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
1/4 cup chocolate chips
First, melt butter in a sauce pan. Stir in marshmallows until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in the Rice Krispies until coated with marshmallow mixture.
Press into the bottom of a greased cookie sheet using a greased spatula. These can get a little bit sticky!
Next, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir. Repeat until melted.
Drizzle the Rice Krispies Treats with melted chocolate & caramel. Sprinkle with pecans & chocolate chips.
Slice & serve. Look at all that ooey gooey yumminess!
Now let me show you how to make these delicious Crunchy Brownies!
Crunchy Brownies
For this recipe you will need:
1 package brownie mix
oil, water & eggs (according to package directions)
6 cups Cocoa Krispies
1 package of marshmallows
3 tablespoons of butter
crumbled candy bar (Pick your favorite!)
First, bake your brownies according to the package directions. Let cool.
Melt butter in pan over medium heat & then melt the marshmallows (stirring constantly). Remove from heat & stir in the Cocoa Krispies. Using a greased spoon press the mixture right on top of the brownies.
Sprinkle with your favorite crushed candy bar!
Cut into bars. Enjoy!
We found out these crunchy brownies are amazing with a scoop of ice cream on top. Try it out! :)
