Good morning! Today it is time for another addition of Craft Lightning! This month we are all sharing crafts around the theme of glitter! I admit glitter is fun…..buuuuut it can be messy! That’s why I love to glitter iron-on and glitter vinyl when I’m in the mood for glitter. ha! So today let me show you how I made this Glitter Mug with glitter vinyl which would make a great Christmas gift for a neighbor or friend. Let’s get started! :)

When I need an easy & quick craft, vinyl is always my #1 go to! It’s quick & easy to cut & fast to apply. Annnnd it always turns out perfectly. You can’t go wrong with vinyl….annnnnnd glitter vinyl is even more fun & sparkly!

For this project you will need:
Cricut Explore Air 2
Cricut StandardGrip Cutting Mat
glitter vinyl (silver)
strong grip transfer tape (comes with the glitter vinyl)
Cricut Essentials Tool Set
mug (I found these mugs at Goodwill for a $1.00!)
these Design Space file

First, I cut out my vinyl using my Explore Air 2. You can see why I love this machine right here. It’s my go to when I’m cutting out vinyl. :)

Next, I weeded my vinyl using my pick tool. Remember glitter vinyl isn’t as “tough” as regular vinyl. Just take it nice and easy.

First, slowly remove the excess vinyl.

Then use your pick tool to get all the smaller pieces out.

Next, you’ll apply the strong grip transfer tape on top of your vinyl.

Now the fun part…..applying your glitter vinyl! :)

Just take it nice & slow, smoothing it out as you go.

Fill your mug with some warm & sweet goodies. Annnnd there you go, a sweet gift idea. :)

Do you love glitter? Let me know. Annnnd enjoy these other glitter crafts. Click the link under the picture.
