Jumbo 2x4 TIC TAC TOE Board + over 20 2x4 project ideas

Hello there! Happy Saturday! Today I am excited to be joining Remodelaholic & some of my other favorite bloggers, as Remodelaholic kicks off their fun 2x4 & More challenge week. Let me show you how I made this Jumbo Tic Tac Toe board with a few lumber scraps laying around my garage. :)

Alright, let’s get started! First you’ll need to gather some supplies.

Supplies:

• miter saw
• 2x4 board cut into four 14 1/2 inch pieces with ends cut to a 45 degree angle to fit together
• 2x12 board cut into 11 1/4 inch by 11 1/4 inch square
• 2x4 board cut into nine 3 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inch blocks
• Americana Décor Color Stain
• foam paint brush
• rag
• hand sander & sandpaper
• vinyl letters

First you’ll assemble your board. We used a nail gun to do this.

The bottom piece of our board fit so snugly that we almost didn’t have to nail it in. Buuuut just incase, we added 2 nails on each side to just to help hold it in place. After it was assemble, I sanded all the edges. Then I sanded my 2x4 blocks as well.

Next, I used some Americana Décor Color Self-Sealing Stain to stain my board & blocks a nice blue!

I let that dry really well, and then I applied my vinyl lettering. Easy peasy!
