Wahoo! Summer is finally here, school is out and it is time to party at the pool or in the backyard! haha! Today I am excited to share one our family’s favorite (& easy!) summer recipes. Ice cream & summer just go together at our house! With a little help from Blue Bunny®, I am going to show you how easy it is to make this Very Berry Ice Cream Cake. Let’s get started! :)
Blue Bunny® ice cream (which has been around for over 80 years!) is the secret ingredient for this ice cream cake. Blue Bunny® always has fun twists on classic ice cream flavors. Annnnd Blue Bunny® Cherrific Cheesecake is the perfect ice cream flavor to use for this recipe. It has lots of cheesecake yumminess plus the cherry flavor & real graham cracker crumbs. It is amazing by itself, & it is the perfect ingredient for an ice cream cake!
For this ice cream cake recipe you will need:
Blue Bunny® Cherrific Cheesecake
angel food cake (I bought mine premade!)
1 can cherry topping
1 small carton of blueberries
First, set out your carton of ice cream to soften. Then slice your angel food cake into 3 layers.
You will layer your cake, then ice cream, cake, more ice cream & then put the top of your cake on top.
Put the entire cake in the freezer for at least an hour or until frozen.
When you are ready to serve your ice cream cake, top your cake with cherry topping & fresh blueberries.
