Hello there! It’s all about Father’s Day this week on the blog! I love celebrating the special dads & grandpas in my life. Annnnd I know you do, too! Today I’m sharing the perfect Father’s Day gift (hint: photos!), some funny stories about my awesome hubby (& amazing dad to our kiddos) & a $50 Snapfish Giveaway. So keep reading!
Today’s dads (& grandpas) bring such a new look to being fathers (& grandfathers) than in years past. Today’s dads are super involved with their kiddos, hands on, funny & approachable! I think they deserve a gift that is just as creative, awesome & fun as they are! That’s why photos make such a great gift idea for the men in your life! This guy is the center of our family! Buuuut we don’t have many pictures of just him & the kiddos, so I set out to change that! ;) We took these pictures one day after school in our backyard. I had the kiddos & their dad lay on the ground while I stood in a ladder above them. It was a little precarious! ha! We survived, & I didn’t fall on anyone. ha!
I also love how you can personalize your gift even further with cute clip art & sayings. Beautiful life describe this picture to me in every way! What a beautiful & fun life we have because of this guy! :)
Speaking of fun, we can’t let Father’s Day go by without recalling some funny “dad” stories from over the years! ha! When we first found out we were having a baby for the first time (19 years ago!) he told everyone that we were having a boy. He called the baby “man child”. ha! I was so relieved (for him) when we found out we were indeed having a boy! He was super excited & so proud! Another funny story about our oldest was when we were in the hospital. Our “man child” had his first dirty diaper. My hubby put on some rubber gloves to change the diaper! ha! He’s come a long way since then! I don’t think poop phases him anymore. :)
Our dad can do anything (or at least TRY anything!). Sometimes he forgets to read the instructions before hand though! ;) A funny story that happened a few weeks ago was when my daughter said one of the piano keys was sticking. Well, he got to work fixing the piano, & we almost didn’t get the piano back together. Let’s just say that job should be left to the professionals! ha! (He eventually did fix the piano key….maybe I should hire him out!)
