DIY Mini Canvas {tutorial}

Hello! Happy Valentine’s Day! Annnnd boy do I have some loveliness today! ;) Today Canvas Corp Brand is introducing their Creative Crew for 2015. Annnnd guess who is on the team? Me! I am so excited to be working with them throughout this year. To introduce the team Canvas Corp Brands challenged each member of the crew to a 4x4 Challenge. Eek! So fun! We were each given a tiny 4x4 canvas, & then we were asked to create a canvas that represented us & our design style. So here is my DIY Mini Canvas. So keep reading to see how I put it all together. :)

It's done!  Wahoo!

This is what I've been working on all week.

So yes, the rest of my house is a little messy & unorganized, but  that's OK. :)

I bought all of my frames from Hobby Lobby for half off. 

{Don't you just love Hobby Lobby's half off sales??}

It seems like every time I go in there what I need is half off!  Love Hobby Lobby! :)

First I laid out all my frames on my kitchen table,

along with the words I wanted on my family wall later

so I could get an idea of where everything would fit.

I played with the arrangement & came up with something I liked.

I took a picture & printed it out...so I wouldn't forget how I had it arranged. :)

Then I started hanging up my pictures. :)  My goal was to have as few extra nail holes as possible.

I was doing so good until I realized my pictures where WAY to low.  Oops!

So I had to move everything up...much better...but yep, I do have a few extra holes in my wall! Grrrr!

Most of them were hidden behind pictures...I only had to touch a few spots. Yeah! :)

Once I started hanging the pictures I did make a few changes in my arrangement,

but it did help to have a general idea of where I wanted the pictures to go.

After I got all the pictures hung...I started cutting the vinyl. :)

Then all I had to do was apply the vinyl lettering.

I love it!  Of course, my hubby didn't even notice

until about 30 minutes AFTER he got home.

{Hmmmm....not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing! ;)} 

My 4 year old did say she loved it each time

I asked her as I was working on it!  Love that girl! :)

monday's mom {canvas review & family wall update}

Our family had pictures taken this summer.

{Seriously, it was the most stressful thing ever, but so glad we did it!} :)

I've been working on deciding which pictures to get printed, finding frames

& getting everything together for the family wall I've been planning on forever.

So, imagine my surprise when I received an email from the folks at Easy Canvas Prints

asking me if I would like to review one of their stretched canvas prints!

Of course, I said YES!  I'd love to!  Unfortunately, I had already ordered my family wall prints,

but I quickly decided to order a print for my girl's room!

I've ordered from other print places before

& there wouldn't be a hanger or it wouldn't be attached for you.

Love that it comes ready to hang.  {Nice...now I've just got to hang it!} :)

I have ordered canvases before so I wanted to compare the two.

The family picture in the back was done by another company.

If you look close & compare these two pictures you can tell that the
