Cole vs. Cameo {guess who won?}
Some of you might remember when
I was super excited to get my new Silhouette Cameo.
I had so many projects & ideas! Like this & this. I couldn’t wait to get started! :)
Well, unknown to me my 2 year old, Cole, had BIG plans for my Cameo, too! Ummm…not good!
Just a little background on my little Cole-Man. He is extremely busy! Always into something.
Like the time he put Vaseline in his hair…yep, his hair was sticking up like that for a couple of days until the Vaseline finally wore off. Then there was the time he put lotion all over his forehead, and the many, many times he has colored himself with markers. Do you see a pattern???
Yes, usually he is doing crazy things to himself…buuuuuut that would soon change. Yikes!
monday's mom {first day of school}
It's the first day of school!

This year I've got a big third grader,
a beautiful fifth grader
& a very handsome & cool eighth grader. ;)

On Friday I showed you how I made the shorts {you can check them out here},
& now I'll show you how I made this super cute & easy shirt to match! :)
Yes, this is another project your kiddos will LOVE to help out on!
You'll need a plain t-shirt. {I just used one we already had.}
Put a piece of cardboard inside your shirt just in case the paint bleeds through later on.
I cut a vinyl stencil out using my Silhouette.
I made a 7 inch circle & then put my daughter's name inside using the Howser font.
Apply your vinyl to the t-shirt. Make sure you smooth it down really, really good.
You don't want any air pockets or edges not pressed down all the way.
I used hot pink paint & this cool little paint brush. :)
When you apply your paint you want to tap, tap, tap.
No brushing it back & forth. Just tapping. :)
You could probably get by with one coat of paint. I did two just to be sure.
After your paint is completely dry carefully lift off your vinyl stencil.
I was really amazed on how good a job the vinyl was as a stencil.
Now I've got all kinds of projects whirling around in my head. :) The possibilities are endless. :)

monday's mom {swimsuit re-do}
Summertime! Wahoo! Love it!
Only thing it is soooooooo hard to find a modest swimsuit,
& my daughter wanted a two piece swimsuit this year.
I hesitated because it seems like the two pieces
never stay down & you end up seeing too much skin! Ugh!
But then I saw this at Hobby Lobby!
It was on clearance, too! Wahoo!
It gave me an idea!
We bought this super cute 2 piece suit at Old Navy for $6.00.
Yes, it cost less than the velcro. ;)
I ironed on two spots in the front & two in the back.
Now we have a swimsuit both of us can agree on! :)

Melissa sent me a package filled with homemade goodies.
My favorite is a clutch...I can put my keys, wallet
& cell phone inside when I'm making a quick trip. So needed one! :)

As most of you know I have 5 kiddos. Ages almost 2 to 14.
This was a good nap time project to do while my little man was asleep.
As the box states it's for ages 7 to 97. So not a good project for the little ones,
but perfect for my 4 older kiddos age 4, 8, 10 and 14. :)
Love that there were plenty of shrinky dinks to go around.
{I even got to color some. Wahoo! :)}
My kids laid out the kind of monster they wanted to make.
Then they colored, colored, colored. :)
Now the fun part! Little man was even awake for this!
We put them in the oven & watched them shrink!
So cool! They even saved one to shrink when Dad got home. ;)
We didn't want him to miss out!
Here's our finished Monster Lab.
This was an {awesome} summer time craft project to do with the kiddos.
Loved, loved, loved it! So fun!
