Good morning! I am so excited to be participating in Creative Crafts - Patriotic Crafts Edition this week with some of my very favorite bloggers. You’ll want to scroll down to the very bottom of this post, click the button & visit some of the other fabulous red, white & blue posts from this week. :) If you have been around Ginger Snap Crafts long, then you know that I love a good patriotic craft or treat. With Memorial Day & 4th of July coming up quick, it’s always good to add some patriotic decorations to your home. Today I am excited to share this easy Land That I Love Patriotic Door Hanging. Let’s get started! :)

For this project you will need:
Xyron Mini Multi-stick Hot Glue Gun
mini glue gun sticks
Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker
vinyl
transfer tape
Cricut BrightPad (optional)
weeding tool
Cricut StandardGrip Mat
wood round (I found mine at Hobby Lobby.)
ribbon
floral picks
floral wire
scissors
this Design Space file

Recently Xyron sent me this mini multi-stick hot glue gun! It’s amazing!!! You can put up to 3 glue sticks in at once! It’s a game changer. :)

So cool! Now I’ll won’t have to add glue mid project! Yay! :)

Alright, let’s get to this project. First, I cut out my vinyl using my Cricut Explore Air 2, weeded it, added transfer tape & then applied the vinyl to my wood round. If you’ve never cut or weeded vinyl before check out this post with step by step instructions. Just warning you vinyl is addictive! ha! ;)

Next, I made a bow out of this cute striped ribbon. Make a small loop for the middle, then twist & add three more loops to each side. I go side to side as I make my loops. Make one big loop for the tails of your bow. Secure with some floral wire.

Cut your big loop apart to make your tails & then trim the ends. I cut a small piece of ribbon to hot glue around the middle of my bow to hide the floral wire. All done! :)

Next, I took my floral picks hot glued them together & hot glued a small piece of ribbon around the middle where they met.

Glue your bow in the middle with a hot glue gun.

Then finally glue your ribbon/floral picks to the top of your wreath. All done! :)

This would make a fun edition to your door for the upcoming holidays or at a 4th of July craft night. :)
