Good morning! On Friday, I told you all about my first outing with my Cricut Maker. Eek! It was fabulous. I’m in love with the Maker! (You can check out that post here.) Annnnd today I am excited to be partnering with 49 bloggers to bring you a fun Free for Maker Project Blog Hop. All these projects are totally free & available right now to use with your Maker in Design Space right here. Also, as you may have heard, tomorrow on HSN they will be launching a special Cricut Maker Bundle. Soooooooooooo…..we also have a giveaway for the Maker Bundle that launches tomorrow. You’ll have to scroll to the end of the post to enter that. Buuuuut first let me show you how I made this adorable Football Pennant Banner with my Cricut Maker. Let’s get started! :)
For this project you’ll need your Cricut Maker & a few other supplies.
cardstock
faux suede
corrugated cardboard
pink FabricGrip Mat
blue LightGrip Mat
vinyl
felt
twine
hot glue gun
ribbon (optional)
What makes this machine so fabulous is the amount of power it has & the new rotary blade!
I was a little bit worried about it cutting the felt, but I shouldn’t have been.
It did a wonderful job! I was so impressed! :)
For the felt, I used the pink mat & the rotary blade, for everything else I use the blue mat & regular blade.
It cut through everything so beautifully, and I loved that I didn’t have to adjust my blade or turn a dial.
The Maker did all that for me. All I had to do was load my material & press go. :)
After I got everything cut, it was time to assemble my banner.
Vinyl will always be my favorite! Isn’t this football cute?
Annnnnd this felt pennant is so, so cute! I love all the different textures in this project.
More vinyl! haha!
After I had all my pennants together, I placed them in the order I thought looked best.
Then I flipped them all over & hot glue a piece of twine along the top.
I added a little bit of ribbon between each pennant as well. This is optional! :)
I love how it turned out!
This would be perfect for a tailgating party or hanging in a bedroom.
