Good morning! Annnnd boy is this a good morning! ha! I’ve teamed up with the Silhouette Challenge facebook group to bring you tons of fall crafts (including this reversible fall block tutorial), & we have a $140 Amazon gift card giveaway that can be used toward a new Silhouette machine, craft supplies or whatever your heart desires. For this project you will need:
thankful image
happy fall image
Silhouette (affiliate link)
vinyl (any color)
Mod Podge
foam brush
white chalky finish paint
hand sander & sandpaper
large wood block
First, you will cut the two vinyl sayings to fit your block of wood.
Apply the vinyl to both sides of your wood block. Cover with a layer of Mod Podge. Then let dry.
I then painted on two coats of white chalky finish paint. Let it dry completely. Then I removed the vinyl using a Silhouette hook. Notice the super clean lines. The Mod Podge seals the stencil preventing the paint from seeping underneath. Awesome, huh?
Next, I distressed my block of wood pretty heavy with a hand sander.
I love that I can switch it around & use both sayings all fall. :)
